PC Booster 2008

    Ive just downloaded this program it supposidly speeds up various aspects of your system and sounds like a rather good tool. But im wondering has anyone used it before? Is it anygood?

    What does it do? I don't trust programs that don't tell what they do...

    Next time ask this question BEFORE you install the program. Usually anything that claims to speed up your pc is some sort of scam... ranging anywhere from pointless bloat to very harmful.

    I still remember some friend that downloaded something that said it would magically make his pc 300% faster.... totally defying the laws of physics on that one. End result was we needed to reformat his drive.

    ok guys cheers usually i am more tech savvy an do check things out and dont just install random things but i am reformatting my hdd soon, its in need of one and have backed up all my stuff so i thought what the hell ill try it. And entropy i never even new tpu had such a program ill download that instead i think. thanks all

    I personally always viewed these programs as gimmicks, I personally prefer to tune my pc myself (a bit of tinkering in the registry or msconfig). Does it work though? Cause I know a lot or 'grams just tell you that it does this or that and in reality, does squat. Now that's only my perception though ;)

    well i dont have a clew how to do sike that so id rely on programmes like this. TBH all ive done is the quick auto tune thing in the image shown and start up time seems exactly the same.

    I'd rather apply my own custom reg file than using one of these so called pc speedup software.

    ok guys thanks i get the idea of not using programes like this but how do i tune her up then? I no nothing of altering reg' files and config an all that, could you post some links for me to read up on?
