My PC has been restarting at the slightest hint of load to the gpu lately. I suspect it's nvidia drivers but I did an uninstall and then a clean install and haven't seen any improvement and people don't seem to be complaining about the recent driver update on the forums or anywhere else (which of course doesn't mean the drivers aren't to blame in fact I suspect and hope that they are)

My specs are as follows

Intel i7 Haswell 4770K up to 3.5GHz Quad Core 1150

Team Elite 16GB DDR3 (4x4GB) 1600Mhz PC3-12800 CL11 With Heatsink

Asrock H97 Pro4 ATX Motherboard with 7.1CH Audio

Toshiba 2000GB SATA-III 64MB 7200rpm Hard Drive

Evo Labs Cronus Modular 650 Watt 80+ Efficency PSU

Nvidia GTX760 2048MB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Replaced with GTX980 ti

Aerocool DS-200 Black Gaming Case Noise Dampening 2 x USB3 7 Colour LCD Panel

Antec H2O Kuhler 650 Water Cooling Kit PWM Fan RGB LED Temperature Sensor
Replaced with Noctua NH-D15 after some odd cooling problems kept popping up

Tenda W322P 300Mbs Wireless PCI Adaptor

I can provide additional specs if needed but I feel like those are the only relevant details as far as I can tell

I ran a prime95 test on blend and to see if it was the CPU or memory but those both survived with temps below 50C
When I attempted to run a furmark on the GPU it managed a second (usually less) before the PC restarted.

I attempted a clean install of Nvidia drivers but I may repeat that as it's entirely possible for me to have mucked that up.
The logs from GPUZ and HWinfo are here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lbisjqdo87fv8zj/GPU-Z Sensor Log3.txt?dl=0 and here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bbrnne3opqnwpbx/hwinfolog.CSV?dl=0

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. I should point out that my issue seems to be a little bit distinct from other people's in that mine goes off almost instantly where most of the others I've read are able to last longer than 5 seconds.

If it runs fine under memtest and only fails when the GPU is loaded then the mother board is fine.
Possibly a failing PSU or GPU.
Try the card in another system if possible, or try another card in yours under load.

I can't find ANYTHING about that PSU, except pictures of the box and that they're CHEAP. No reviews. I can't even find a picture of the PSU's rating, like this. That's normally bad. Very likely, it one of those PSU's that's rated well beyond it's actual capacity, which would explain your reboots. Can you swap out PSU's? If it's well built, a 500 watt PSU is all you need.

$1000 system, $8.00 power supply is sadly a VERY common mistake made by a LOT of people.
the symptoms seem to point toward that psu, but without more info, its not 100%

However regardless of the issue at hand if you were a family member or friend, id recommend getting a real psu,and putting that one where it belongs...in its box, maybe as a emergency back up, but id personally toss it.

Nothing. You have to start testing each part, and we're saying you need to start with the PSU.

Okay, this I can definitely work with. How do I test it short of buying a new one and sticking it in?

If you have a Micro Center near by, buy a decent one with a gold or bronze ratting( dont think you'll be returning it) unless were wrong and were not.
Okay I will put my trust in your judgement and pull the trigger on a new one.

LOL reading comprehension....He lives in Nigeria...
I suspect that it's less a reading comprehension problem than the fact that shit I write has to get vetted by moderators for an age before anybody can see it to be sure that I am not a troll or similar undesirable

Alright I will order a new psu. I am hesitant because it will take a while to get here as I live in Lagos, Nigeria. Is there anything I can do at all in the mean time to be absolutely certain cos I would be more than a little gutted to find that after a long wait for the thing to arrive that I had an issue with GPU drivers.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound uncivil. I just type like that and forget that sometimes reading it back it can sound more hostile than I intended. Thanks everyone for being patient with me and giving me advice

Not really, but either way your PSU should be replaced. So it isn't a bad purchase.

Thanks guys, if you're interested I plan on getting this: https://www.chert.ng/evga-supernova-750w-gold-psu.html# which seems to be decent (or rather others in the range are considered to be among the best according to Tomshardware)

You can also get the B2 which is cheaper. It's cheaper but it's not far off the performance G2. I don't know how big of a price gap that is but it's an option. EVGA psus typically perform at a efficiency level higher than what they are rated to.

Try the card in another system if possible, or try another card in yours under load.

IYO... for me My MB was shot until i replaced it... and it did work under memtest, yet when i overclocked the Processor the system reset after 5 minutes.

BTW, i have the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2, and it works great. (Has a switch that turns the fan off. Until the temperature rises above a setpoint in the PSU. )

Your issue was processor based, not GPU based. Big difference.
