I have also bought a Toshiba 48" smart 3D TV with passive 3D

Now What I would like to be able to do is to play 3D movies I have borrowed from the internet on my PC plugged into the TV via A HDMI cable. I have tried to use VLC media player converting the SBS image into a single image but the TV won't detect it as a 3D movie and wont go into 3D mode.

If I go to YouTube on the TV and search for 3D videos I can play some of the videos in 3D as the TV recognises them as 3D and then changes into 3D mode, but I can't get it to do it while using VLC media player Power ISO when mounting an IMG file or when I use any other sort of 3D media players.

Now I know I can play passive 3D from my computer to my TV because when I installed the Nvidia 3D vision player it said I should watch a demo when the instillation closed. So I ticked the watch demo the TV flickered and a warning came up abut watching in 3D it asked me to accept I did and there it was brilliant HD 3D like I have never seen before. It was amazing seeing games in 3D with so much depth in them. The Nvidia control panel lets you change the depth of the 3D which was quite cool.

Anyway this was al great but I was still unable to watch any 3D movies because the Nvidia media player didn't recognise some of the formates of movies I had borrowed from the internet.

I am new to this 3D gimmick and tbh its starting to send me nuts trying to get a 3D movie to play from my PC to my TV. I don't understand about all the different extensions and codecs because before I just used VLC media player which played just about everything.

Can anyone please please steer me in the right direction. I have got my son and his little brother coming to stay next weekend and they both love the planes movies and I have managed to get the 3D version of that and would love to be able to let them watch it when they come over next weekend 22nd Dec

I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read my first post and would thank you for any information you would be able to supply.

Cheers

BTW the TV is a Toshiba 48 inch Model number is :47L7453D
