Any idea where I can find a fan connector for this card? I have tried looking everywhere, including specialist stores like Maplin etc. It is the small 3-pin connector, not the Molex to 6-pin PCI-Express cable converter that came with the card.

    Thanks,
    Nick.

I think the card needs extra power and thats the only slot available.

The card would only need more power if the PSU is low quality, dying, or too low powered in general.
The X1600 series is low power, compared to the larger cards around (well, maybe with exception of the X1650XT), so they wont have an additional power connector.
The fan connector on the card is output only.
If you need more power, the problem may lie in the PSU.

Your wrong, it only needs extra power if the plug is at the end of the card. It will be the same plug as a floppy drive or a 6in.

If you want to install a fan you have the plug on that card.
