Just updating some instances, so the site will hang for a few seconds at time while the IPs are moved to another host

Edit: done

@W1zzard : Every time I put in an FTP site, it chops off the colon after FTP, then when I go to edit it, it adds "http://" before the FTP. This may be a xenforo bug.

Example: ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/Z77 Extreme4.pdf

The url link is supposed to be: ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/Z77%20Extreme4.pdf
not: ftp//66.226.78.21/manual/Z77%20Extreme4.pdf

That explains the strange results of my tracert to TPU yesterday.....

The last 6 IP's were all resolved to TechpowerUp, as if the packets were just bouncing back and forth between load balancers. lol

Good. Maybe people will read the thread before responding (needs to take my own advice, LOL). :p

Any chance of getting it back? It was very convenient and I miss it, as I reckon many people will. :) I'll bet there's a tick box somewhere in the forum configuration to enable it.

Just wanna say that now the hardware upgrades are complete and the little teething problems sorted out, the site is running fast and noticeably more responsively. Nice :)

TPU was down so I did a tracert from my computer and it would exceed the delay after NYC.

Also did a traceroute from the who.is website.

@W1zzard I don't know exactly when the update was made to the image hosting on techpowerup.org (gotta be a few weeks at least), but I have to say that I really like the new look. It's easier and quicker to host with drag n drop, very nice :respect:

TPU.org is having technical difficulties. The page is not responding and images hosted on it are not showing.

i get pages that load like The one pictured below occasionally , i cant say if its on my end, or TPU's end, but it always seems to happen when some other "less serious" TPU issue happens. for example, i was responding to a reply in one of my threads, and when i hit "post reply" it posted the quote of another users message like 10 times...

Then This opened up in a separate window. again i dont know if this is of consequence, but just the same i figured id let you know.

I'm sure that's coincidence. I think Ford was just contracting the techpowerup name, but I just had to try it as a URL and see where it lead! And it's pretty geeky, no? :D
