Hey guys. Long time no post.

I am so darn confused. I recently changed my monitor setup to PLP in the following resolutions: 1200x1600, 2560x1600, 1200x1600. For a total of 4960x1600.

As you can see, they all have the same vertical resolution. As you can imagine, my measly 6950s are not cutting it anymore, so I am looking to upgrade to either a GTX 970 or a R9 390. I only really play racing games so those cards should run that resolution fine.

My problem is I'm not sure if eyefinity supports PLP on the 390 or if nvidia surround supports PLP on the 970. I tried searching but couldnt get a clear answer. Is PLP support just a normal thing now? Or is it still sketchy?

Thanks guys. Keep squanchin'

Well I do not believe the GTX 970 support mixed resolutions surround (unless I missed that update). As for the R9 390, its similar to my R9 290X which support different resolution monitors in eyefinity so you should be fine with the 390. I cannot confirm for sure on the GTX 970 as its something that has not really come up but I did not see anyone talking about it being supported.

Bump!

Anyone tried the following method?

From reddit: "Make a custom resolution for your main display equal to the total width of your monitors and the height of your tallest. (mine is 1440x6400) and save it. (don't set your monitor to it) In games, choose windowed mode and the new custom resolution. The window will stretch, and you can position it across all your monitors."

That is for nvidia cards
