Ok after 29 minutes of waiting... AT&T calls me and tells me that is not legit for me to tether my computer to my laptop to dial into another computer because it breaks their TOS.

I am sad.

EDIT: If anyone actually has a landline and a modem I can walk you though how to do this, it is not that hard!

Once again, I am unable to continue to use my iPhone as a modem, dial up no less! Someone else who has actually used a modem (or still have one even!) should try.
