I just turned on my pc, one of the browser tabs is my own FB. And I got the update that 'my daughter' just did some 'lover of the day' quiz 6 minutes ago. :wtf:

I refreshed the page a couple of times to recheck.

Now my daughter's downstairs watching TV. She was outside all day with no computer access.
We just arrived home like 30 minutes ago. No other pc's in the house are running, only my own desktop.

She did have a very simple password (which I've now changed for her), but possibly someone really logged in her account?
Or is facebook's timing extremely unreliable? (She last used facebook yesterday evening).

    Weird.

lover of the day is automated. She was probably clicking around and added it its a program (like farmville) only this one see's who interacts with your page the most. and auto publishes it on your profile on a daily basis. You can edit this by logging into her account and clicking on account and going to "application settings"
Soylent Joe and Black Panther say thanks.

Yup it happens once you accept an application invite from a friend.

most likely if somebody gets your facebook password they do a lot more damage than simply update some app.

Same with luck of the day and the horoscope stuff, most of my friends accounts post is when they're in school.

Click the 'ignore' next to the invite. Then even if you do get an invite, you won't see it and so it won't bother you! :p
    Solaris17 says thanks.

Another good general tip-Uncheck "Instant personalization" under Application and Websites and it will stop auto-sharing your personal info with god-knows-whom.
