Well thought it might be a good idea to make a thread to help or just simply imform others that are curius about there power usage. And to help those who are thinking of upgrading or just buying older tech to give them some idea what the power usage they could be expecting.

So if you have a Kill A Watt or\and UPS or another way to get PC Power consumption or\and other computer related items please post it.

Please post the system details as accurate as possible and IF possible separate power usage for the system LCD A/V usages at idle and maximum.

i have an entire box of s754 chips that i use for benchmarking and binning chips. there are tons of uses most of my extra stuff was put into rigs i built my younger brothers and sister back home. as well as a HTPC for my dad. its nice to have extra parts when shit breaks too

yea i know but still fun to test a shit ton of CPU's as well as GPU's i have always wanted to see a review with a handful of both to see what the best bang for the buck combo was along with power consumption and such

These are from my 24/7 crunchers, so it's CPU stress only with low power graphics:

    Sandybridge
    i7 2600K @ 4.6GHz
    P67-UD4
    8400GS
    95W Idle
    165W (CPU)Load

    Nehalem
    i7 950 @ 3.8GHz
    Rampage 3 Extreme
    8400GS
    233W (CPU)Load

    Wolfdale
    E6300 @ 3.5GHz
    G31M-E2SL
    HD5450
    71W Idle
    120W (CPU)Load

And this was my old cruncher/folder/gaming PC:
    Nehalem
    i7 920 @ 3.8GHz
    X58A-UD5
    2x SLI GTX 275
    587W (CPU + GFX)Full load

OK, took out the Killawatt and measured the SB and C2D and updated my post. The other ones I'm afraid I don't have anymore so can't test their idle.
