PowerColor today announced that it would start issuing lifetime warranties across the board for all of its X1900 series graphics products that are manufactured after January, 24, 2006. PowerColor says that it will replace or repair a defective video card but no refund will be offered and will be honored on a first come first basis and is limited to available quantity. Shipping will be at the cost of the card owner. Here's the new PowerColor lifetime warranty policy:
    • PC Lifetime Warranty applies to all X1900 series retail Graphics Card
    • Product must be with no physical damage to the PCB, GPU/chipset, or components
    • Product must in retail package and have been registered with PowerColor
    • Offer is only valid in the USA and Canada

In my mind this is the one area that has kind of hurt ATI Partners. They dont offer lifetime warranties. A lot of Nvidia's main partners already offer this even if you overclocked it (like said above). XFX, Evga (they just started it this year) and BFG all offer life-time warranties (XFX offers double lifetime warranty). It is nice that the ATI Partners are starting to do this, but it still doesnt match what the other side is offering. They should show us that they dont fear their products crapping out.

VisionTek offers lifetime warranty in their Ati cards too, but sometimes they are out of stock, and you have to wait a really long time to get your RMA'd card back. (tell me about it  )
