The 99 quid Coolermaster UPC is exactly the same as the 1100w version but with two 12v+ rails disabled....much better PSU than the PCP&C and it has more wattage on the 12v lines than the entire output of the Silencer.
Sorry i had to prove you wrong on this one
. If anybody knows about power supplys and rails its thats the old power supplys with high wattage ratings use mutiple rails. Its acctualy a fault in the atx design i herd a while back, and its a gamble with powering cards, cpu, mobo, fans, hardrive so on. The real hardcore power supplys have 1 12v rail. Completely even power on all the video cards with no threat of uneven power to those power hungry 3870 x2'
z. That PC&P Cooling (silent as hell, more silent then my freinds xiggy dark knight fan and huming drives.) 750 watt is a bad A$$ psu. No joke the thing its puling 12.06 volts on the 12 volt rail with 2 HD 4870s 3 hardrive, blue ray burner, 2 dvd/cd burners 1.5 volts e5200 at 3.8Ghz, and 4 sticks of overclocked memory with 4 120mm fans. The only low rail was the 5v rail which was at 4.96 instead of 5 volts but cmon thats still sexy. That UCP Power supply is a nice power supply. And Mutiple rails dont fail they work just find. But the PC&P power supply is probable better then the UCP 900 watt from cooler master. I found out that any UCP Ultimate power supply from cooler master dosnt work with any x58 boards cause of the *UCP* feature .... Get the PC&P Cooling 750 watt silencer. Its rape. It works.Another dissapionting factor in multiple rail PSU'z is that they state like 20 amps a rail for 4 rails. But acctualy pretty much every power supply acctualy does less then full rail ratings. So if its 4x20amps on the rails which would equal 80 amps its acctualy output maybe 65-60 amps or more or less, its gamble. Why do you think corshair psu'z can power shit thats out of its amperage range with there single 1 rail solution. Its cause its relable gives 100 % power or 110+ % power out of the power supply and itll run just fine with no threat to life span cause it stays at a nice 80% effective on overpull to PC&P and corshair power supplys ;D. Its cold and quiet
