Hi guys, longtime lurker here.

I need your help. Two days ago I bought an Asus laptop, model x501u and installed Ubuntu 12.10 on it. However, today I ran into a problem with it. Battery is now stuck at 2% after 4 hours of charging and I don't know what to do about it. Every time I turn it on I get a warning message for low battery, and stays that way. What am I doing wrong? Is this behavior normal for new laptops? Does the battery needs some conditioning? Could this be an Ubuntu bug? I must admit I'm new to Linux, so please don't get angry. :)
