Well you definitely get more of a feel of the contours of the surface and the power of the vehicle with the real thing since the camera shakes with the bumps and the car with every shift, but the graphical detail is stunning and the audio quality a lot easier on the ears than that. So looking forward to trying this. I may even break down and get a wheel for it.

BTW, was there slight lag capturing the Lotus 49 video with the rain effects? Couldn't quite tell if it was the effects or you were losing FPS or something.

It is on Steam now dude,I think it just downloads the latest greatest version ,then it just updates Thursday Friday cycles,you get the odd Mon-Wed little patch .I actually forget how to transfer it to Steam Might need to look on the Pcars webpage.Try reading up on this thread at wmd forums http://forum.wmdportal.com/showthread.php?15159-Steamworks-builds-now-available

I had it when it first came out on steam,but hack then I had to DL every days update and they where 80mb+ I can only handle 50mb or less for updates. Have they made it so you can play and opt out of updates? I would like to give sp career a shot.

Edit: looks like I can change it to none that way its less DL,I can handle that. I thought you had to choose your level you payed for.

Just got done with the download and tested for 1 hour, the game has changed a lot! The cars feel much heavier and slower to respond, like there is actually tire to ground contact! I like it! The BMW Z4 kinda reminds me, when going down a road if you turn your car off and then have no power steering. Not this extreme, but you know what I mean at high speeds. Looks like I may be buying a full Fanatec CSW set for Christmas!

Very nice, but outside view coming into the tight right, left turn just before the start line was very hitchy. Also, is this game not going to have sound, animation and camera flashes for the spectators? Seems weird to see them just frozen in place.

this thing STILL hasnt released yet??!! lol if it actually DOES release in november IT'll be Close to 3 years of developement since I heard of it...it STILL looks great, but NOT as good as it did when I heard about it in the beginning of 2012/end of 2011, well it looks the same, but OTHER games have advanced making this one look LESS impressive in compariosn I mean. Dean Hall MAY be on the Dev team for this game, based on the time between announcement, and release ( just cross your fingers and PRAY that it will ACTUALLY come out in Nov, I'm certain they dont want to make it into the 4 year announce to release mark).

I still find it impressive how Polyphony managed to kick out those great graphics, physics and effects out of ye ancient PS3. Amazing stuff.
