Blizzard made the official announcement today that they have cancelled project Titan. The game was undergoing a "reset" announced in 2013. They had originally set out to make another great Mmo like World Of Warcraft but the project was not fun and lacked passion. Also Blizzard does not want to focus on another Mmo at this time.

I personally find this news somewhat disappointing. What I would truly like is for Blizzard to make sort of a Wow2 Mmo. New engine new timeline and next gen game play.

Fair enough, but I was really looking forward for something to replace wow

Same deal with the new final fantasy.
Fell short imo. I don't even play it anymore.
I beat all of the content but the game is just another cookie cutter game.

Fight, fight, fight.
Gear, gear, gear.
/yawn..
I think I'm done with MMO"s because Devs just aren't very good at developing.

WoW could survive, in my eyes, if they made a hardcore version. Ramp up the difficulty (to vanilla levels), expand the talent trees so you will actually have to carefully decide what to pick, make it possible to create characters that suck (now all "builds" are viable), insert a hunger/thirst mechanic and some basic survival things. Make it so you have to hunt down profession trainers.

What I'm saying is that they should go back to vanilla/BC.

This is sort of worrying though:

Throughout the interview, Metzen and Morhaime suggested that the recent trend of smaller-scale Blizzard releases like Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm has played a part in the company moving away from Titan.

"I think the lesson that comes around again is just making damn sure that the things we commit to do and the things we burn calories on and the things we commit to our community that we will do are coming from a place of focus and inspiration," Metzen said.

He explained that Hearthstone had helped the studio realize that they don't need to fit themselves into the box of only making products of a certain scale.

"Maybe we can be what we want to be and inspire groups around the company to experiment, get creative, think outside the box and take chances on things that just might thrill people," Metzen said. "Maybe they don't have to be these colossal, summer blockbuster-type products."

Blockbuster games is exactly what they should be doing.

The market is saturated with MMO's, mostly F2P but some subscription based (see ESO, Archeage(and yes, Archeage IS subscription, because its F2P model is horribly broken)), so Blizzard doesn't see any point in making any more MMO's, especially considering their subscriber numbers have fallen since ICC. Everybody says the better days were during BC, some say vanilla, but I secretly think a lot of old time WoW players see vanilla through rose tinted glasses. Spamming barrens chat for a Wailing Cavern dungeon group really wasn't fun. I think BC improved on things, but the current dungeon queuing thing is nice. They need to remove LFR though, that is a worthless piece of trash, and is one of the reasons I unsubbed. That and MoP became a legendary gear charity case.

Then those guys dropped hearthstone and it became wildly popular, made blizzard fat stacks of cash, and has a huge userbase within a very little space of time. Activision/Blizzard's investors and shareholders are probably demanding more projects like that to increase the company's value and profits, and look at MMO's as a saturated market.
Honestly WoW BC was and is the best subscription based MMO, one of the many reasons I stopped trying MMO's. None of them match up.

And you thought Blizzard of all people was going to bring it? Or did you mean to replace as a game in your catalog?

If you haven't found a MMO to replace WoW by now, then I'd say you never will.

And MOBA's, everywhere I look, a new one pops out, I personally have a huge distaste for them, but that's just me. o_O
