Looks very nice.
Should be about $300-$350 max.
If this pans out to be true the PSP2 is already a bucket of fail.
then don't buy it.
For me if it monster hunter portable 3 (if it comes to north America) is getting released on the psp2 and not on the first then its a definite buy for me. the thing im disappointed is i wont be able to have my umd disc's on it just like the disappointment i couldn't play my ps2 games on my ps3.
I would venture to guess that they are just not on-board for launch, I can't see Sony not getting EA on-board.
Without EA support you would be retarded to. Time will tell.
only if you buy the psp to play games...
do you need to learn the ways of the force?
No, no I would by a PSP2 as a sex toy for my wife.
Different strokes for different folks I guess . . . seems like a waste of money as that will surely void the warranty.
But really, between the "PlayStation Suite" framework and the fact that this device will be out classed by other mobile devices at the end of this year/ start of next year i don't see the point of its existence. Furthermore we don't even know what the price points are, and how restrictive they are going to be.
will this still have a phone built in? or are the pspgo and psp2 diffirent?
This doesnt have a phone, thats the Xperia Play which should be formally announced later on.
Which really bring the question as to why the hell there making this thing.
Actually, it's the pre-owned games market that is hurting gaming. Far more than piracy. Admittedly, right now, SONY are screwed because of piracy. Mainly because it is so easy to hack a PS3 now. But, they will still have a lot of genuine customers that will refuse to tamper with their beloved console
They didn't do a banwave last Christmas. Which surprised me. They released the dashboard update that incorporates AP25 checks (anti-piracy25 I think that stands for??). But that has already been defeated .
But yeah, M$' security when it comes to custom firmwares etc (not including the fw hacks for the DVDROM) is holding out well
I see, I thought it was a phone
I wouldn't call the PSP a flop at all. But if we are on this train of thought that, top spot is all that matters. Then BC2 is garbage, MW outsells it, so scrap it, because it sucks. And while we are at it, scrap almost every other game out there, they are games, making them the exact samething as MW, and they suck at selling. So only MW titles will be made form now on.
<scratches her head> I hope I didn't give the impression the XBOX 360 can't be exploited. the recent update targeted not only Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 but also Halo: Reach. I just think out of all the consoles and handhelds, Microsoft does a good job at protecting their assets.
Sony: 3D not right for portable devices
Compared to the PS3, the 360 has been much easier to pirate games for, have been able to do it for a long time.
Don't be ridiculous. It was a flop because it had damn near zero games developed in the first year. I had one! The launch titles sucked and they were followed by shit. It wasn't until this past year or so that things got better. UMD format was a joke and now here we are. Another PSP. This one isn't even backward compatible. I mean its best selling game was Monster Hunter. Really? Fucking Monster Hunter?!
All I am saying is if Sony follows the same format as they did with the PSP1 this thing is going to flop. If I were Sony I would make this thing into a phone. Now that would give them an edge. It would be like an HTC evo on steroids.
While the psp2 will have 3g, its not a phone, this is the phone:
Sony is making a new software called Playstation Suite which will be available for all android devices, It will be PSOne games on Android from sony and later on it will be Android games, so the PSphone more than likely will just be an Xperia Phone thats made for Playstation Suite which will be available on all android phones.
Playstation Suite will be on the PSP2 right from the getgo probably with some PS2 titles added.
so did sony kill the PSPhone with this or was their no PSPhone in the first place?
but they will still point the finger at piracy anyway,
and when it comes to the used games market, PSP2 games will come on flash carts with the game and whatever space you need for addons, so you install your addons to the cart which brings up the problem of how do you sell that afterwards, unless they just make every cart have a user partition or somethin and tag carts and content to specific serial numbers with PSN, peope are worrying about this but shouldn't be.
maybe it was because the more dangerous hackers have already Jtagged their consoles and are already banned and playing pirated games all day long?
