Puget Systems Launches Sandy Bridge-EP Workstations and Servers

    Puget Systems, a boutique integrator of custom PC systems for enthusiasts, gamers, consumers and SMB markets, today announced availability of Intel Sandy Bridge-E to its line of workstations and servers.

    Sandy Bridge-EP incorporates improved memory bandwidth, more PCI-E lanes, and uses Intel's Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, providing even more performance when needed. For more information, a full Sandy Bridge-E technology primer is available from Puget Systems.

    "Sandy Bridge-EP is an aggressive step forward in workstation and server performance" said Jon Bach, president of Puget Systems. "We have worked very closely with Intel on this launch. In addition to these existing product line refreshes, we're working behind the scenes on some exciting new product announcements as well."

    Available Systems

    In addition to immediate availability on their custom built computers, Puget Systems will be using the new Sandy Bridge-E platform on the following high performance systems:

    - Genesis: A cutting edge, highly reliable workstation optimized for post-production and design.
    - Summit: A highly reliable rackmount or tower server optimized for VMWare.

    At first glance I read Puget as peugeot.
