So, after reading some of the comments in this thread about the new EK "GT Clones" I was wondering if Nidec ever did a PWM GT? If so what's the model number and is it still available on Amazon or the like?

I'm using Corsair SP120's, but they aren't the PWM versions and I'm looking to upgrade.

Thanks!

I think most of them are out of production, and it was pretty difficult to source them outside Asia when they were available. Several Japanese and Chinese sites still advertise them (albeit at exorbitant cost in some cases) , although you'd need to work out shipping to wherever you are of course.
As I mentioned in the other thread, the AP-29/30/-31 series have the ability to be wired for PWM, so you may want to check out one of modding threads around on the subject. This one seems pretty straightforward.

Hmm, something to go on, at least with exact model numbers I can search around.

Thanks!

Over on OCN there is a thread about how a reseller did a special order. He ordered a 2150rpm GT that uses PWM control. The model number would be D1225C12B6YP-xx. I am not sure what the xx would be: each customer has a custom number; the plain Jane fans are -00. HTH
