Everthing stable, OCCT 30 min test passed. Orthos passed running 2 instances with 1 set to affinity 3/4 core.
I am very happy to say the least with this setup and it has yielded me 13k+ in 3DMark06. I am however a junky when it comes to pushing the most out of my components, even though I am not an experianced overclocker as others. I am toying with the idea of getting a Asus P5K P35 mobo and returning this one. Question is am I going to see that much of a difference from 3.4GHz to 3.6GHz? Something tells me no. Feel free to chime in and thanks again Nemesis!
Nemesis you have to try the 2004 bios and see if you can OC a bit more stable. I think you will be pleased with the results.
Oh one other thing to take into account. DO NOT use the Asus Windows Update utility to update your bios, this will kill your mobo!!! I can say I have never had this problem before with my Asus AMD platforms and I have been with AMD for a long time. Not believing what I read over at extreme forums (I said to myself, what noobs they are not doing it right) I tried to flash my mobo with the Asus Windows Utility an guess what, killed my mobo, half way through the flash it gave me an error and then no matter how many times I tried to flash it would tell me unrecognised mobo not and Asus board. On restart I got a black screen, it wiped the Eprom clean and not even the built in AMI Ctrl+Home trick worked, nothing!!! I had to get another eprom and hotflash the other one. Ok so what does this all mean? DO NOT use the Asus Windows Update Utility!!! Use AFUDOS only from a floppy... If you do not have a floppy drive, get a USB one. You can use a USB stick, but even that is not recommended.
