COMPETITION NOW CLOSED. WINNER ANNOUNCED!! CLICK HERE

    Win Valve's Orange Box!

I will give the lucky winner a brand new Orange Box activation code to register with their Steam account, giving you FIVE grade A games!

I've got a physical Orange Box, still freshly sealed in it's original wrapper, which I want to keep in my collection of Valve games boxes. I've already got all these great games, so I will open it and PM the code to the winner.

It will cost you nothing, just participate in my fun competition and you could win it!

The Orange Box contains the following fantastic games from one of the best developers on the planet, Valve:

    - Portal
    - Half-Life 2
    - HL2 Episode 1
    - HL2 Episode 2
    - Team Fortress 2

A pretty awesome collection, which all play very smoothly on today's hardware.

Already have these games? Doesn't matter. When you register the code to your Steam account, you get a giftable copy of each game that you can give away individually to friends and family who haven't played them before.

    Competition rules

    - Post a few words saying just how great I am here on TPU!! Make it funny, make it silly, make it cheeky, make it anyway you want, within the forum rules. Here, flattery gets you everywhere!
    - Post a funny picture to make people really laugh. It can be about anything, but keep it clean and within the forum rules
    - You can make more than one post, but don't spam
    - You can discuss the competition in the thread, if you want to
    - OPTIONAL: Be creative and think of any other ways to flatter me and it could help you get ahead...
    - Competition is open to everyone. If you've been lurking at TPU for years, why not register and take part?
    - Competition will be open for a week, maybe two, but no longer

If you haven't got Steam yet, go to www.steampowered.com and download the installer, then register an account when it prompts you to. A Steam account is free.

Finally, vote in my poll, if you like. This is just for fun and won't affect the competition. You can select more than one option and votes are public.

    HeatWare

    GOOD LUCK!

Sure, but it's that 10% that's really gonna benefit. Even if you have them, you can just gift them to someone later.

Uber badass. Damn, why didn't I think of that!

I don't have the Orange Box - I only have Portal, and I'm yet to play any of the Half-Life's.

I will now proceed to get my nose a nice shade of ass :)

Qubit, you share my views on monitors and the poor technology behind LCD's motion. You share my views on DRM within the PC industry. You share my views on Portal 2. You share the same country as me.

Now share that killer collection of games with me baby because I'm telling you now, no-one else on here would appreciate those bad boys as much as I will.

PS - I voted all of the above options in the Poll. You is the bestist!! :D I heart Qubit

EDIT - I see everyone is playing on your love of Cats. I shall not bow to the pressures - it is for pussies.

I don't have the orange box either.

Qubit, you are a true gem, a proper stand up member of the TPU community. You offer great advice to new and old members of TPU alike.

    now a funny picture :p

I will attempt to win this for my wife. She has started to play some newer games (she normally just plays the original Age of Empires or C&C) and I would love to be able to get her to play some multiplayer. To win I will post a picture of what my wife likes: pugs.

Thank you very much for being so generous and I am sure the winner will greatly appreciate it.

Since the only one of these games I have is portal, I wish I had been around here longer so that I knew you well enough to post something awesome.

Since I haven't been I'll just say that it is really awesome of you to give these away.

Congrats to the winner. I guess I could leave you with a joke.

A farmer hired a new farmhand and they decided to take a little break beside his barn.
As they were sitting there, a beautiful blonde walked buy.
The new farmhand pointed at her and asked "Who's that? To which the farmer replied "That's my daughter."
The farmhand said "Wow, she's beautiful. Is she sexually active?"
The farmer looked at him and said "No, she just lays there like her mother."

Qubit, i think only UK people can use this, remember the old orange box activation Fiasco! I have an Indian copy of the orange box just sitting here as i cannot activate it anywhere. I believe it is an issue for UK-US,US-UK, and Asia-EU

Eek, I wasn't aware of the activation fiasco. I hope it's not the case here. I also have no way to test it until I give the code away.

EDIT: believe me, whoever wins this is gonna get the Orange Box, even if it means that I have to pay for a copy! No way am I letting my fellow TPU members down. If region coding is a problem, then likely I can just register it to me and then gift it. We'll see what's required when it comes to it.

qubit I think you're soooo great because you're like, going to give me a free game. But you're not going to give me it, just the code :( I like hard copies too

That's why I like you, because you're like that kid at the end of the street that says "you want a sweet?" but really you're going to steal my bike.
