See subject-line/title above please, & answer the enumerated questions below if you are able to (tia)!

Two possible tag-driven features of this forums board I have seen used are "stumping me":

1.)
How to lessen the size of the FONT used in our "signatures": IIRC, on other forums boards engines, I used to use a [size = x][/size] tag...

How is this done on THIS forums board engine?

(Mainly, how to make mine VERY TINY, but still legible & all that)

&

2.) How does one do the "attached image" TINY view of photographs to post??

:)

* "TIA" (Thanks-In-Advance/geekspeek/pkzip-compressed english)!

APK

P.S.=> I will try to do a "VIEW PAGE AS SOURCE" to determine these myself (where specific instances of them are there for me to use as an example/template) in case nobody responds & all that, but it would help me save a wee bit of time if someone knows this stuff & can get me by it quickly... apk

Nobody knows?

See subject-line/title above: "BUMP"!

:)

* Just curious on those notes above guys, I cannot seem to figure out the tags needed to perform those 2 actions here on this forums board engine...

APK

P.S.=> BUT, I did learn a new one today in the "LIST & /LIST" ones in a post Zekhraminator did today! Pretty neat... apk

The tiny view is really up to the poster... he can either attach it to the post, or just make a direct img tag... I think there is a limit on the forum as to how small you can make the fonts. Now I heard you speaking about some tcp/ip tweaks... :) More info?

Hey - You're "back in black"!

(Good deal, & thanks for feedback here...)

Ah, so it is straight IMG-/IMG tags then... got ya!

Do you know the "tag line" for fontsize control (I did the IMG one above, minus the [ brackets ], as an example of tags, because they will NOT show in typical posts)... & can you provide a sample/example?

Thanks man... of the two I am looking for, this is the MAIN one... font colors might be another!

Tons...

Go to the Windows Optimization "sticky" thread in the General Software section!

(See the FIRST URL I posted iirc, in my first post there (lots more than DeathStar has in his & it includes that type of info. in it as well, mainly because it is far older as well - in fact, the oldest "Windows NT-based OS tweak guide" there is (started life in 1997-1998 @ NTCompatible.com)).

Heck, I'll just post it here:

APK Internet Security & Speed tuneups:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goto:

http://www.avatar.demon.nl

and you see on top of the menu a
Windows® flag

:)

* You'll like it, for BOTH speed, and security...

Coolness, & thanks - I have been out to edit my signature with that, to make it tinier & yet legible (so it does not take up so much space in my posts, bloating them, because I tend to "go off" on many of them (quotes, details, URL's, & just my ramblings too)).

Ah, no problem - you've always been cool to me, & I have never had any problems w/ you & do NOT think I will either imo...

(Hey - we ALL "have our days" & I am NO exception - I've gotten the boot on forums before (I know what it's like) & what "kills me" usually on forums? Controversial discussion posts, because 9/10 times somehow, they end up in name calling etc. & that upsets me greatly, because I won't startup those types of things, & don't want them kicked up w/ myself either!)

* "Touchy" subjects - they kill me! I try to avoid them, but... well, we all know how it goes sometimes on that subject (tough to resist replying).

APK

P.S.=> Enjoy those "tweaks/hacks" in that URL, because I nearly guarantee you will find things there you have NOT seen or used before that are great for both SPEED & SECURITY, for Windows NT-based family of OS (2000/XP/Server 2003)!

Specifically, for IP (which is what you seem most interested in)?

The NEATEST part is the fact they are "generic enough" in 90% of the settings that they work across CableModem (just left it after 2 years & 4 years before that), DSL (on this NOW as of 2 days ago), & even Dialup!

(w/ minor alterations to things that deal in packet sizes passing like MTU/MSS/RWIN/TcpReceiveWindow-GlobalTcpWindowSize & TcpSendWindow-GlobalTcpSendSize & minor alterations to some settings which are "memory dependent" & there are SOME of those)... apk

You'll dig it, it's literally YEARS of research on my end... since Windows NT 3.51 in fact, around 1992 or so onwards (geared the last couple of years to 2000/XP/Server 2003 though).

:)

* Hey - IT WORKS (on signature sizings of fonts!)

(Thanks!)

Colors... is this possible as well, via the SAME form of tag (e.g.-> [ color = ] & [ /color ] etc.)?

APK

P.S.=> Couple questions, off-topic: What the HECK is "MWER" & also, what is a PHLAK? apk

Aha! Ok, then... thanks for the info. on PHLAK, never heard of it before!

It works ONLY w/out the quotes...

* Just some "FYI" on that account - I did some "View as Source" on pages where I was wondering HOW it was done... & that is what "throws it for a loop", using quotes!

(That is what I saw in "View as Source" HTML, & using quotes 'backfires' & does not work w/ the quotes in place, as it does in HTML...)

that's odd, doesn't the size need quotes?

That's right - NEITHER color, nor size, require quoting!

:)
