I tried doing some h264 encoding with Handbrake and QuickSync with my i5 2400. I've read great things about QuickSync, but Handbrake actually encodes h264 slower (about half as fast) with QuickSync than it does using the standard method. Is this because my i5 2400 has an older iteration of Intel HD Graphics? I gave it as much memory as I could in my BIOS. I don't have very fast RAM either, but I don't think that would really bottleneck it like that??
