QX9650 just arrived

    lols, arrived just after i left for work, so been on a 9hour shift all the time knowing this was waiting for me at home!!

    the box is pretty damn big with that fancy new intel heatsink in.

    gonna take pics now, and my TEC cooler aint arrived yet so ill try it on air first.

    I'm dying to see what its cooler looks like.

    Append: ^Because there's a huge price-gap between the Retail and the OEM (chip-only) items. So is that the same Intel LGA775 cooler?

    okay, shutting down now, just gonna use stock cooler as it is to see what temps i get, at least ill have a point of reference for when i install my TEC cooler

    i installed it, changed multiplier to 10, and fsb to 400... that was all & this was result..

    look at the idle temperatures on the stock cooler!!

    oh, the quiet mode is v quiet, the not so quiet mode is rather loud ;)

    I havent even tried anything higher, i have literally just installed it, and im paying £650 over 36months or something like that, dont care really i can afford the meager monthly payments.

    im just shocked... i mean for the last 2 years ive barely been able to get 3ghz from my cpu's wewt!
