Does look like a very well done game from the images. However I wish some company would bring back a well done simulator for the NASCAR series.

Racetracks are so boring. I want a real world routes, maybe through the nicest parts of mainland Italy, Corsica, Cote D'Azur, roads through Europe, Asia, US, you name it. Hell, i want my entire country being drivable. It's small with loads of winding roads, villages, town centers etc. I want to drive casual street cars like this. Every game has stupid race tracks and they are all the same. Its boring. I want to take my Hyundai i30 and thrash it around real world real roads. Thats way more fun than any racing game on closed circuit race tracks.

Mercedes World Racing would be a good core for such games. I liked the car handling and behavior, it was way more realistic than any so called simulation which all feel totally unrealistic and overdone on the handling part.

A racing sim with a good FFB wheel is anything but boring, it's an amazing advance in PC gaming.
When u say overdone on handling, do you mean too easy or too hard...?

Personally, I'm not a huge iracing fan, but aren't they the goto for NASCAR these days....?

Overdone. Cars skid around at 50kmh like you're driving on ice all the time, if you're trying to make a turn at low speeds cars always behave like shit and they just feel artificial like they have absolutely no mass, just physics attached to wheels. Like i said, Mercedes World Racing had the most natural feeling physics at all speeds, including low speed which seems to cause the most problems to most game developers. Plus the feel when driving the cars using dashboard view is just fantastic. I always feel like i'm driving my own car in that game.
Body roll, braking roll, proper traction, oversteer, understeer. Most will say its not realistic but i disagree. When using 100% simulation setting it's mindblowing to drive.

I don't think this applies to every sim, for example, it doesn't apply to RACE07/GTR EVO/RACEON, GSC 2012, netkar pro, some cars in rf2 etc.

Even iracing is improving grip and moving away from ice physics.

Based on my game ownership/demo-ing, games have been getting better the newer they are, so atm, the best sim{physics and FFB} is Game Stock Car 2012, obviously released in 2012, lol.

Some of the car behaviour of the latest sims is impressive, they do virtually anything a race car can do, though there are some limitations, but I'd be surprised if you didn't like GSC's Camaro, which is the best sim car ever made IMO.

I don´t agree with this, i played Race07, GTR2, GT Legends, nKpro, pCARS, simraceway, i tried the GSC demo etc, and none skid at 50km/h. GSC2012 feels pretty good to me. If open world racing is what you like i´m afraid none of this games is for you then.

I'd be inclined to hold off on rf2 atm, they need a few more months of development time IMO.
Simbin are releasing a F2P game in a week or so, if that's a sim, then I assume GTR3 will also be one, however, if the F2P model is arcadey, then I'd have much lower expectations for GTR3.

better not be arcade like as it's one thing that sets Simbin from most others.

I agree, let's hope they have faith in the sim community and vice versa.

They are yes, however one can tie several hundred bucks into the game in a fairly short period of time........Just not worth it really.

The V8SC....big assed rear wing makes this a very easy car to drive.

G27 owners, I find that ticking center spring and adding 25% works well in this game, maybe even 50%.

Oval racing doesn't float my boat, plus their road track physics and FFB are anything but class leading IMO.
It'll be interesting to see rf2 in 8-12months, as the dynamic tracks and daynight cycle+rain could be huge fun with the right cars.
