If your RAM already has heatspreader on them, don't bother, money better spent on a RAM fan (like Corsairs). But if your RAM is bare, then I think it's a pretty good investment.

bear in mind thats only a single stick cooler, you'll need a pair, bit pricey at dabs too

this is a pair, though they're a bit big, so make sure you have room first, failing that, scan also sell them akasa's for £4.30, or coolermaster ones for £3 (i just got some of these, they're virtually identical to the akasa's too)

Most memory modules come with stock heat-spreaders. You can't install this over a HS. The irregular contact between the two surfaces would result in the module heating up even further.
