well, I got my sound card in today. I must say, im impressed!!!! What impresses me the most is that my headphones were kinda worthless, volume was not enough. now, its too much. The sound on the headphones is sooo crisp and clear, the bass sounds great. Im really in shame i did not get a sound card earlier. I guess I Have to thank you guys for bustin' my balls about getting one so bad. I now have one :D Thanks guys.

HOwever, back on topic ;). I dont have c/f no more as one of my cards is down. I keep saying I am, but I dont look for my receipt to see if I can RMA it. systems specs updated with sound card and just one 4870. wacha guys think?

9.8 until the second video card is replaced. And I'm glad you finally picked up a good sound card. Makes a world of difference.

I would also look to upgrade to some 24" monitors, or at least some 1080p capable ones.

mid range CPU @ mid range clocks, old (but still very functional) motherboard, so-so cooling, nice ram, below mid range graphics card (9600/8600 etc are low end gaming, by my standards.), small HDD's, small screen.. ok PSU (more than sufficient for your PC), decent sound (for 2.0, its good), good OS.

it gets a 6.5/10 from specs alone, but 7.25/10 because its balanced. yes some parts of it are weak - but none of those parts hold any other part back. its not like you have a 400W PSU and a GTX280, or a weak CPU limiting an SLI setup.

    9.5/10 for you Darkego.

Awesome rig! My only suggestions are pick up a second 4890 and maybe some more HDD space. Sick OC though!

9/10 Clock that Q6600 farther and get a second 4830. I am not gonna get a second 4890 though. I am waiting for 58x0 to upgrade my video card, but when that comes I am gonna get 1 or 2 X2 cards.

last time i saw your rig you had a cheap unknown PSU stock HSF onboard video. the video card is under powered big time compaired to todays cards.I like the CPU cooler. When i get home(idk when that will be) i want to compair some CPU bench scores. see how your 6400@stock compaires to my 4850e(basicly the best of the 4800 chips) at 3.2ghz and 3.25 see it the extra L2 makes a big difference. that is if your willing to do that...thanks for the 8 after looking at your upgrades and remembering what you had before i am going to rerate you and give you a 7/10:toast:

Yeh its great to get away from the crappy onboard video!

And yeh let me know when your back home, and what program/s you want to bench with and i'll do my side of it :)

EDIT:Come to think about it, i think 6/10 is quite respective of todays standards for my rig, but its good to know you've taken into account of my upgrades over the past few months :)

And to be honest i haven't ever heard of your chip :p so even more reason to want to compare benchies :)

good CPU, ok board, specs for water cooling arent detailed for me to judge, 4GB 1066 is average, 9800GTX is midrange, small HD, decent screen (its great, but i'm not a sony fan), weak PSU (CM are garbage PSU's imo. great cases, shit PSU's)

    6.75/10
