lol I hardly ever see anyone rate a rig lower than 7~8. Everyone is just to nice. I know we are all enthusiasts here but not every rig can be a 9 or 10 lol.

Someone should make some kind of scale that shows how to accurately rate rigs!

Not bad for a budget build. I'd say 5 but you get +1 for a CRT and +1 for XP x64. :rock-out: Two of my favorite things--I don't care what pundits say (especially about CRTs).

    8/10

You lose points for CRT unless it's the top end class of CRTs, because, quite frankly, the good LCDs (PVA or IPS panels) look better than the cheap CRTs.

And you need a more powerful video card to match the capabilities of the rest of your system.

9/10 for "Snowball" if compared to other laptops, 7.25/10 for Mosquito .. absolutely nothing wrong with it, all current components, just all mid-range score is based on potential performance.

Edit: If that 550 has the other 2 cores unlocked add another point to mosquito.

It gets great customer reviews at the 'EGG'... (which can always be taken with a grain of salt)... but out of 147 that bought and use it, 95% gave it an excellent rating for performance/price. I would think it would be an upgrade over your current cpu.

You will not be disappointed with a PII X2 550, and it would be a big improvement over your Phenom 9100 (bar apps that really make use of quad cores). I find mine faster (for what I do) than my old 2.93GHz Phenom 9850BE.

pretty solid all around. Needs a better monitor, more storage, a sound card.

    7.75/10

What's the voltage on your 8800?

9.6/10 nice it would be better with GTX 295s in place of the GX2s but it kicks some ass.

btw my rig have improved from last time. I think i had the 5kBE(or maybe it was the 4600+) and a 7900GS voltmodded with 1gb of ram and 1 80gb HDD also a Hyper 580w PSU :laugh:hyper

BTW what mod did you do to the Physx card
