OK let's break this down, The 800 mhz ram is a choice as the phenom II can't run 1066 with all 4 memory slots full so PC1066 would have been a waste of money, because you can't run those clocks with 8gb anyway.

I know I'm running an old board but that's what makes my system special.

The 19 inch monitor, what can I say, it was a gift. and it's lots better than the CRT it replaced.

On the single 4870, the MB only has one PCIE x16 slot so this is a given.

Now About the cpu cooler, What do you mean "low end"? The typhoon in comparisons was better than or equal to such heavyweights as the Thermaltake Ultra 120, the Noctua 120, Freezer pro 7, it's good enough for me to be able to clock at 4 ghz on air at an ambient air temp of 78f. "low end" cooler my @$$.

the typhoon is nowhere near as good as those coolers. You rarely see it compared to the others in roundups, and it certainly never wins.

i dont see the TRUE 120 or a xigmatek in that roundup.
its kinda easy to make a cooler a winner, if you dont submit results from the better coolers.

They dont have ANY of what i'd call high end coolers in that roundup - the cloest is the Thermalright ultra 120, but its not the extreme edition - its the TRU, not the TRUE

@URB 8.7/10 nice rig i like that clock on your CPU nice GPU well balanced rig there and should play about everything maxed.overall great rig without breaking the bank

    9.3 / 10

Add another 4890. And the motherboard isn't the best you can get.

8.5/10. You only have 3 gb of ram, a single 4890, air cooling, and no solid state. If you have 6Gb of ram you would get a 9 though.

7.5 out of 10. Video card and hard drives are lacking. Plus your running on board sound.

    1. 3GB of RAM is enough for any game.
    2. A single OC'd 4890 is enough for any game @ 1920x1080
    3. There is no need to waist money for 200$+ cooling system and a couple of degrees lower.
    4. Solid state: price per GB? in the sky, money...

Any 9.3/10 for you. I have a HAF 932 you know...
