Updated system specs, video card will be here next week, 3rd monitor is just waiting for it.

    For above rig, 7.5/10. I would say for a 10 you'll need a better display/RAM/Video Card. :toast:

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. The i5 quads are the same as the i7 quads aside from the onboard PCI-E controller (i7s don't have this), transistor count (i5 has more), TDP (95W i5 vs 130W i7), memory support (dual channel vs triple), hyper threading which hurts performance in many games and a few other small differences. So gaming performance is roughly the same. No bottleneck here, not even close, especially with my native resolution of 1920 x 1080. If my sarcasm detector is broken, laugh at me and move on. :rockout:

Sorry, we rated each other so many times. 8/10 since it's an HTPC

10/10 for yours, really strong in all areas.

I got three 22"'s, not looking for a bigger screen, I fold and crunch so I don't overclock (HEAT), and another 5870 is not needed in my eyes at least. Guess I'll stick with the 9

Another 5870 would get you a ten. I would give my own rig a 9 also. A second GTX 480 and a new PSU (required) would earn me a ten in my book. :)

Meh, I try to rate more based on overall balance. Don't think you need a 2nd 480 to do anything you do now. Really I don't see how you can improve your rig for daily use. As far as benchmarks and e-peen, sure another 480, better PSU, some extreme water cooling, etc etc. But not needed for what most of us do. That's just me of course, I respect everybodies opinion and rating system. I'm just explaining what I think your rig scores in my eyes. Same with my rig, I don't see how to improve it for daily use, really.

Yeah and I don't even like multi-GPU setups. Well, Crysis Wars doesn't like it so I can't do it. I suppose I should give out more tens, starting now. 10/10

what would i need to get a 10/10?

    I think i already know
    more storage
    bigger screen
    more ram
    better GPU
    higher overclock
    would i be correct?

as for the GPU i know it's dated and i plan to replace it as soon as i can.

Crossed out what isn't required for me. As of right now, 6.5/10.

Multi GPU setups tend to be hit or miss, at least with ATi they have been for me. Therefore I'm sticking to a single 5870 for now.

I'm going to give you a 9/10 CP. Pretty much killer in every area. I've yet to see a picture of your Eyefinity setup though.

That will come very soon, waiting on the 5870, I just need to pick up the monitor from my buddies house and that's it.

Ah cool, you've got enough desk space to handle 3 of those big boys right? I'd love to use a triple display setup for a while, it'd be a very nice experience.
