get the feeling these bigboys are leaving us in the dust
yeah, not much I could do, really. Wanted to stay with an ASUS board, and all the DDR2 X38 motherboards didn't have an expansion slot layout I could work with. I woulda had to give up either my wireless adapter or my soundcard if I wanted to go crossfire. The P5E3 board was the only one that had a good layout I could work with. I'll have to give up the wireless adapter if I crossfire two dual-slot cards (like I intend to by the end of the year), but the board has onboard 'n' wireless, so it makes up for it.
Still, though, I get the feeling I should be able to clock the everloving crap out of some DDR3; as long as the CPU can handle that high of a BUS speed . . . we shall see . . . MWA! HA! HA!
@ revin: 7:10 - not too bad, man. nice cock on that P4
@ revin - nice score with that 7800, man! Just one of my 1950 PROs will score lower than that in the graphics tests.
wow thats nice someone beat it with a sempy (AXP based) and the same card though
i'm catching up i'm finally off AGP next step is DC
Love the new set up! 9.5/10... I'll give ya a 11/10 when its not so "Stock"!
thier vid score is lagging behind somewhat
didnt you score 4642 and he score 4700?
the context was of the vid cards.
I'm not gonna get much better score of 833 with this EE,....till I get it on water
ahh i gues he did score better in cpu 962pts from a sempron...wow whats that tell you about netburst....
netburst architecture sucks . . . best 3m06 score I ever managed was 4693, and that's with a CPU score of about 1100 - OCed to 4.1GHz :shadedshu
the 1950 PROs are on par with the 78/7900 cards, but Prescott's are friggin BUS bottlenecks
so under that thinking . . . you'd score my setup 15:10 when I'm packin 2 3870x2s and a wicked OCed system, right?
hahaha funny typo
bah! screw the edit, it's good for a laugh (and if a mod has a prob with it they can fix it themselves )
that lines almost as good as the original typo
mods don't sker me
9/10 Nice setup!
How is the DDR3 going?
9/10 its like my rig but nicer and intel cased
decent so far - but still dealing with installing all my apps, games, benchies, and configuring XP to my iron fist.
I'll give it about a week before I give in and start OCing the setup
DDR3 nice 10/10
It'll be so high you wouldn't even know about it! I can't even say how big it'll be! but you have to have that massive bench!!!
Didnt wanna say too much about the typo before,
Not a damn thing
All i know is that this EE needs supiorier cooling, and it's very hard to run 3.8
3.6/7 is a cakewalk thou..................even @1.6v.
It kinda relates back to the P3 days, of when I had the 600/66 celery@ 100 for 928.
I then got ahold of a 1Ghz/100 chip, and that differance was outstanding!!
Even though I only gained 78Mhz, the differance was that the 1Ghz had 8-way cache associated vs only 4 way on the celery.
I dont have a clue even as to what the L3 did to help improve the EE
If I didn't get ahold of these superbad OCZ "EL's", id still be under 4500!
And if this Bliss wouldnt get such high core clocks, well it wouldnt be worth staying on this setup.
But here's a shot when I ran the OCZ 500 "EB's" 223FSB
How you all like that cLock ??~~!!!!
Here's with the "EL's" 223FSB
Now those are pretty good ClOCKS eh??
Mabey get closer to a 10
Well - I'm shootin to attempt to hit 4GHz on air with this quad (that'd be over a 50% OC), we'll see - but, I figure if I can get a x23 multied nuclear-heat Prescott to run stable at a 50% OC on a smaller air cooler than I'm using now, my chances should be looking good. Hell, this quad right now at idle and stock is running 12C cooler than my P4 would at stock speeds.
I think you'll be able to do it as long as the board lets you! Good luck man and best of wishes for a great oc!
