    Do the 8.3 cats support 3870X2+3870? Why the odd amount of ram? Do you notice any performance difference between 3x1GB in single and 2x1GB in dual? Still a 10/10 from me though either way.

    Im not sure if catalyst 8.3 supports x2 + 3870...im using 8.2...8.3 dosent work properly for me... :)

    i did have 4gb of ram....but one of my sticks died....so i took it out :) and no i don't notice any difference between between 3x1GB in single and 2x1GB in dual :) and thx :)

    the latest intel chipsets can run the first two sticks as dual channel and the third as single channel. Its weird, but it works.

    Mostly CAD, video editing, and email ;) Once in while I get tempted to slightly OC it but not much :D I do all my gamings on console systems.
