I am looking at a few FPS games out there. And would like to hear suggestions and comments from other TPU members.

    What I am looking for:

    1) Must be able to play at medium or high settings with my rig (See specs) I can run Crysis Demo at medium settings with no lag or artifacts/errors (never tried High yet :D ).
    2) Must be good enough not be bored with it after a week. In other words. Must have good action, graphics, and story line.
    3) Online play a plus, but not required.

So, hit me with suggestions. I am bored to tears with my current games!!!

Honestly the best imo on the market right now is not for PC. If you got a PS3 or 360 pickup Battlefield Bad Company. The solo play is a bit short (but a hilarious play through), but multiplayer is amazing.

Call of duty 4, and world at war. Both have a nice single player experience and great online.

That is gamers dream you are describing. There is not such game :D.
I liked FEAR 2 despite all the bad comments. Short for your taste.

+1 for Call of Duty 4. Fantastic game, single player lasts about 6 hours, but if you liked it like me you'll play it on Hardened, Veteran and Arcade Mode. Then the multiplayer....i've got over 240 hours play so far :D

Also, try beat Mile High on Veteran, not many people have actually done that. On the 360 of over 5 million people, only about 250,000 done it. Or around those numbers.

    What a game!

Most difficult FPS in the WORLD. You try constantly mashing 5+ keys per second!

maybe you should list the games you have played. I like Half-Life 2 Orange Box. you can watch video reviews here and here you can't go wrong with Call of Duty or Team Fortress 2 which is pretty addictive. also be on the look out on Steam for Free Weekend promotions they usually have random games Unreal Tournament III, Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat Source, Guild Wars, Red Orchestra, etc in fact they have one coming up for Unreal Tournament III Friday March 13th to Sunday March 15th

Fallout 3 is great. It's the Oblivion engine, except you don't need a $5,000 computer to run it properly. Far Cry, if you can stand the WWF dialog. Tomb Raider Underworld. (Not an FPS but a kick to watch it). My favorite online FPS is Grand Billiards. Kidding...I like TF 2 cause it's not very serious. The original FEAR is great online if you can find the patch for it.
(Billiards is fun BTW, I like it cause I play in real life).
