replacing screen on a toshiba with an hp screen?

    i got a dv5-1125nr with a bad mobo. i found a toshiba l305-s5915 with a broken lcd on craigslist for $50. will the lcd from the hp work in the toshiba? according to these two links:

    30 pin connectors are in different places, the Toshiba screen is a couple of mm thicker, and the screws are in slightly different places. HP's also tend to be a different size in terms of outer casing.

    I can let you know if they are interchangeable.

    I need the serial numbers off the two laptops if you can. I can cross reference them with our generic screens.

    I have a 15" screen we stock that works on about 70% of laptops unless it is some weird or older connector.
