    Hi

    Welcome to TPU

    First
make a backup of the original vbios image [for when things go wrong]
    download and run GPU-Z here
    Example
    Extract vga bios.jpg
    Select: vbios chip icon
Select: save to file [vbios name.rom]
[*keep a copy in a safe place*]

If have to flash use VBE to edit a copy of the original vbios image; use atiflash at a DOS prompt

    Note: General rule of thumb
flashing a reference design vbios image to a reference design pcb [may work]
flashing a non-reference design vbios image to reference design pcb [will brick]
    changing device ID [will brick]
