restore points disappear after reboot only have vista no xp

    I'm trying to find out what is erasing my restore points in vista i don't duel boot any more so some program is doing it i have acronis, adobe reader 9, avg, winpatrol, ccleaner, creative software for my x-fi sound card, vopt 9 disk defragger, nero, peazip, regvac registry cleaner, zonealarm, webshots, 4 sony online games eq eq2 starwars vanguard, and world of warcraft can any of these cause the problem

    Honestly the first program I would look at is the Registry Cleaner.

    i try'd uninstalling that and it didnt work i still lose all my restore points

    Well, you have a whole host of options.
    Aronis has a cleaner
    ccleaner could be set to clean them
    regvac sounds supicious(I don't use that one)

    Turn off all your cleaners or uninstall them to see if one of them is the problem. They might be mis-behaven or not set correctly.

    by "not dual booting anymore", do you mean you still have the same install of vista, but just erased the partition XP was on?

    try'd some online virus scanners and every thing i can think of but still losing restore points on a 1 terabyte drive does any one have any idea's im fresh out

    I know this sounds to simple, but I have tried looking at your system restore settings, maybe you don't have enough space dedicated to restore points.

    there is a full 15% dedicated to my restore points so thats not the problem

    Not sure but would check -

    "vopt 9 disk defragger," - some disk defraggers have been known to cause problems with restore points.

    are you using windows disk clean up ? by right clicking on OS drive and clearing old restore points ?>

    i contacted Microsoft and they are helping me solve the problem if we find out whats doing it ill post it so it may help some one else

    well after reinstalling vista and going thru each program install and rebooting each time i finely found the program that was doing it revo uninstaller and if you unistall it it does not fix the problem i started all over again and avoided revo uninstaller now system restore works fine

    losing restore points on reboot

    well i spoke to soon again i started losing my restore points on reboot again so its not revo this realy sucks
