    hello

well i just received my 6950 that i rma'ed 2 week ago, and surprise its as 1536 shaders clocked at 880/1375, but as device id of 1002-6719

im pretty happy with that but i find it weird!

did they just upgraded my videocard for free?

Maybe they do it to save others from trying it equaling less returns maybe ?, Or maybe they do a model like that ?. But still cannot complain with a free upgrade :).

    Pretty dam sweet if so.

Perhaps it is another RMA'd card that someone else sent in(possibley because they weren't happy with how it overclocked), and XFX didn't bother to look at the specs, they just tested it and when it tested good they stuck it back in the recertified pool to be used as replacements for RMAs and you got luck and got it.

Does it have the same absolutely shit hsf as the 6950 1gb version? Its funny cuz the heatsink is about the same size as the stock 2.7ghz sempron single core heatsink which outputs 45W max.

it as the same hsf as the 6950/6970 2GB with 2x6 pin connector on reference board, the only thing different is the dual bios switch , my old 6950 used to have a "grab-able" switch but this card the mechanical seem's to be there but there is no knob like to push to 1 or 2 ...
