Well, for people who have to buy GPU (graphic Cards, it is the heart of a gaming system I have seen many stupids that get an i7 and expect it to even start up crisis or any game that is even current generation and fail miserably) in, Here are my recommendations, (Will be updated every month or so), THE MAIN THINS THAT THE INDIAN BUYERS ARE THROWN OFF BY COMAPNIES IS THE AMOUNT OF GDDR RAM IN A GPU, RAM HAS AMOST NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PERFORMANCE IT IS JUST USED TO LOAD TEXTURES AND 1GB RAM IS MORE THAN ENOUGH EVEN FOR 1080P GAMING (FULL HD) {these are just tips and if you don't trust me do your own research and I'm not responsible if you come crying back here, I am completely open to give answers to questions and advice but buying a GPU is completely your choice}

(1)<Rs 5000 - go blindly with AMD Radeon 6670, it is slightly old but still, this the best GPU available around or less than 5k in India, it can handle games at mid setting at 720p but would not support AAA games (EXTREME HIGH END LIKE CRYSIS SERIES), none others are even worth mentioning, still please save more buy a higher end card (but hey! it's India) Here is the link to flipkart..

http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-am...6670&ref=782aeec6-bc7a-4fab-ac2d-cca871da58f0

(2)Rs 5000-10000, on the AMD Side get r7 260(not X), but the problem is that it is not available readily in India so it is far better to get AMD Radeon 7770..on the Nvidia side, it's equivalent is 650 ti, but it is above 10k so if you want to stick with nvidia, get 650, (not recommended)SO THE WINNER HERE IS HD 7770..here is the link

http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-hd-7770-1-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmd7tgzhnsn39yr?q=Sapphire+AMD%2FATI+HD+7770+1+GB+GDDR5+Graphics+Card&as=on&as-show=off&otracker=start&as-pos=p_1&pid=GRCD7TGZHNSN39YR

(3)Rs 10000 to Rs 15000, now here is where it gets really interesting..the real battle has begun! Well, just 6-7 months ago, 650 ti boost was the king here but nvidia has basically discontinued it ,but they have dropped the price GTX 660,It is this GPU that revolutionized PC gaming worldwide, just a few years back, you wouldn't have been able to play high end games on a sub $200 card, and now you can thrash any game that you like..I highly recommend you to go for it..if you want to get AMD (not recommended), your only viable choices are 7850 and R9 270(not X), but it is highly not recommended to buy AMD at this range..Here is the link to GTX 660 (seriously get it while you can it will never get better than this)

http://www.flipkart.com/zotac-nvidi...=660&ref=236e81d3-2894-4154-aef7-11747168148f

(4)15000-20000, now you are entering the ultra high end (still not A BEAST), Here, the nvidia card, latest GTX760 is the clear winner many games will be optimised and you will get true "NVIDIA" experience, is their flagship GPU (mid-high end) right now... your other choice that is 660 ti is not worth the price...NOW on the AMD side, 7870 is a very good competitor here, it is going neck and neck with 760 and thrashes it on AMD optimised games like BF3,BF4,etc..You can buy either you won't really go wrong, here the 7870 is cheaper as it is last generation. The only other AMD card (worth buying)is R9 280 which either not readily available or too costly for performance. You can also buy R9270x, it is just 5-8% faster but it supports mantle..but it is 2000 more expensive than 7870 so no go here..Here are the links

GTX 760

http://www.flipkart.com/zotac-nvidi...=760&ref=47ab354f-edab-4a4e-a12e-6cfbe82e5686

AMD RADEON 7870

http://www.flipkart.com/xfx-ati-rad...7870&ref=60e1a255-e5e4-4017-86af-55fa1df479bc

....

HERE, ABOVE Rs. 20,000 PEOPLE DON'T REQUIRE GUIDANCE AS EITHER THEY ARE too stubborn or true pc enthusiast, extremely less no of people in India is also a major factor, HAPPY BUYING...

the 260x is not the same as a 7770 or a 650 Ti. the 260X is actually a rebranded 7790, which is readily available for the same money.
The 260/7790 will beat a 650Ti or 7770 easily in everything. only the 650Ti boost is slightly faster.

not to be rude.... but werent you here only a while ago asking very basic questions and not following our advice :p ?

I cant help but disagree with a lot of things in this "guide".

Also, if you are going to make a guide for anything be sure to spell correctly and get rid of the all capital words.

Alright so firstly,You can clearly see that I said 260 (not X),260X is around the same price as 7790, which is around 11k which is unbelievably high...
Rs. 11407 for 7790 and Rs. 11000 exactly for 260X, SO I am not really wrong here, 260 is not available here..
Well, you are right, I was a complete newbie back then, and didn't even had a clear Idea what does what and what are the major companies, i am not saying I am an expert now, but I am in between a noob and middle thingy...
And I have fixed misspelled words..

For 1080p 1GB is the bare minimum IMO, i just exited ARMA 3 and it was using 2770MB of vRAM at 1080p, other game pass the 1GB barrier too. I would aim for 2GB cards if possible.

Have to disagree on the 1GB part too, even on 1080p 2GB cards struggle loading high res textures on games like Skyrim and Titanfall.

As for miss spelling words, I can understand everything you said, considering English is not your primary language you've done a good job, I can relate as English is not my primary language either and make lots of mistakes all the time myself.

Your guide just needs a little polishing but I'm pretty sure some of your fellow Indian gamers will appreciate the fact that you dedicated some of your time to write it :toast:

on 1080p 2GB cards are pretty standard now a days. Really helps a lot. i am running 1024*1280 (similar to 1600x900) and i wish i had more memory.

260 and 260X is same card. 260X is overclockable, 260 is not. Also the 7790 costs 10K in local shops everywhere. i got mine for 10K more than 8 months ago.

Of course you are right but the GPUs Under 10k are not able to handle 1080p gaming completely, and 2ndly I also have a 2GB card because 1gb was not available I play at 900p so that every game would be at ultra settings,And I am 95% sure that here, nobody (normal noobs) have not even heard about titanfall or skyrim, they only play FIFA,Call of Duty and some other sh*t which is no even worth playing, I have seen a Geforce 210 edition with 3GB , being sold for 7k are stupid ass people were buying whenever it came into stock, I was astonished at the ignorance of people here, hehe fancy words..AND YOU CAN SEE I WROTE "EVEN"

95% sure that here, nobody (normal noobs) have not even heard about titanfall or skyrim

They're flagship games designed to sell consoles/make gamers cream when they're on steam sales. Every "noob" has heard of skyrim, and almost every person considering consoles right now has heard of Titanfall. You'd struggle to find a PC gamer who hasn't too.

I am talking about a third world country not the US,even the noob there knows far more than some of the experts here, and they don't like to experiment, people here don't even get games above 10-12 GB let alone a whole blue ray, large no of people don't even have a blue ray player here (not the US),and the most important thing that a large no of people are not familiar with steam or origin as most of them don't have credit card, so they either use torrent or buy pirated game burned on a DVD..just Imagine the situation even COD has to ripped with languages and compressed just for them...

I am talking about teens who don't have money and some others youngsters who just want to stylish(and don't know anything), If you think India is so great then why many people don't even know the importance of GPU, huh?

I am talking about a third world country

India most certainly isn't a third world country, but that has nothing to do with tech and games :) I think you're posting your guide on the wrong website if your intention is to inform cave dwellers on what GPU to buy in order to play tetris when they invent fire and eventually steam-powered games (no pun intended). I also don't think you should make such assumptions about your fellow man-gamers. They might be more intellectual and considerate than you're making out.

The population of the whole of Asia is 4.3 billion. 3% is a lot of people.
EXACTLY, I was just saying that there is a huge gap between wicked smart people and people dumber than donkeys trying to play games on their 5 year old PCs and what do they do buy an i7 and try to play crysis..I am not talking about the no of people but the percentage of dumb people and India is definitely not a thrid world country economically of coarse but conditions aren't really great, dollar/rupees,petrol,import taxes, still no FDI..and take a lookie here 12.6% of the population (2012) uses internet but percentage of people having pc is much much higher

THAT IS WHY PIRACY IS SO HIGH AND PEOPLE ARE NOT EVEN INFORMED ABOUT GREAT GAMES LIKE BF3 (yeah sounds that I'm joking but I'm not), Skyrim, etc

{these are just tips and if you don't trust me do your own research and I'm not responsible if you come crying back here}

On a side note to the original post, you may not count yourself responsible, but the rest of us are the ones who help out users who come here asking for advice. I agree with doing your own research, but fobbing off people who follow your guide and still have issues and questions to ask is a little half-hearted.

So you agree with me on the note that steam is not popular in India?I just want them not to blame me with something goes wrong with the GPU like while installing they would break a fan and start cursing here that I recommended a card whose manufacturer produces cards which are broken, I am completely open to give advice and give answers to questions man! See I Edited it...Now, I want to ask you one thing how did you come accross Titanfall, I got to know it through PC gamer's site?

Most tech news sites report on games too, not to mention it is advertised on TV and on websites. It's pretty heavily advertised on damn near everything these days. What few games I do miss, somebody on the forums always comes up and mentions them. RockPaperShotgun is where I discover most of my indie games worth playing, and they report on AAA's too.

steam is not popular in India
I'm not sure what games various countries find popular. I know the F2P model is heavily played in most areas of the world, so I imagine LoL and such is quite popular, and doesn't require beastly hardware to play.

Probably better off asking the other Indian members, just pointing out the few things I noted. Also if you have little to no experience, might not want to post a guide  maybe hang around the forums a while longer, learn some stuff, then give back in a way you are most comfortable with.

again... you obviously have no connection with the indian gaming community. Teens DO know the importance of GPUs.. Actually most people are knowledgeable enough here to know about APUs and actually a lot of people on budget are buying just that. Just because you didnt know these or the people you came across didnt know doesnt mean everyone doesnt know. I highly doubt you are present in either of the "purely" gaming community groups that have over 50,000 members. add anther 30k or so in the exclusive computer enthusiast community and thats not a small number.

Its impossible for people to NOT know the importance of GPUs these days as if anyone goes to a shop where GPUs are available, the seller WILL convince that person of the significance of GPUs. And GPUs are available in the smallest of small shops now.

i suggest you atleast research a bit more for youself before you make something like this. people come to this site for help. if they come across your guide the might think of it as legit and try and follow it. and later when they know better they will think hey that site sucks. Its not even been a couple of months that you were asking VERY VERY basic and silly questions yourself, stuff that can be googled and researched on easily. Not only that, but i distinctively remember you NOT paying any heed to any of the advice the senior/other members were saying, instead you were going on and on over the same things so much that people just stopped replying.
