Click the advanced Tab and change General to Memory timings and pist a screenshot hete, its needed to find the correct bios for your card

Follow this:
After Downloading AMDVBFLASH

Extract it to C:\amdvbflash (create the new directory on your c drive


Rename the bios file to r570a.rom

Move your BIOS ROM INTO THE amdvbflash Directory you created to make things simpler to find

Open the directory/folder, double click AMDVBFlashDriverInstaller.exe and allow it to install
YOU MUST INSTALL THIS FOR AMDVBFLASH TO WORK, YOU CAN UNINSTALL IT USING THE EXACT SAME .EXE

open your start menu and type in CMD, right click on it and open it as administrator, YOU MUST DO IT THIS WAY, NO EXCEPTIONS

at CMD, type in this
CD \ which takes you to the C:\
then this is an example CD C:\AMDVBFLASH\
you are now in the folder where AMDVBFLASH.EXE is in

type in this C:\amdvbflash\amdvbflash -i
that will identify the GPU with the number 0 (ZERO), 1 etc. There should be the only one gpu.

then type in amdvbflash -unlockrom 0

then type in amdvbflash -p 0 r570a.rom -fa -fp

press enter, let it complete, follow prompt on the cmd line, once all complete exit CMD and restart computer.

note there are spaces between each - so example -p(space)0(space)bios.rom(space)-fa(space)-fp

Ok the latest version may not detect polaris cards so lets try it this way. Give a sec

Ok remove the r570a.rom file from the current flash folder, delete that flash folder and start over doing it this way:


Download atiflash/amdvbflash 2.93
Go here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93

Then

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.

2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder

3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to r570a.rom

4. Move r570a.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder

5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"

6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.

7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>

7a. At C:\atiflash> type in amdvbflash.exe -i to identify your card with a 0, 1, or 2

8. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0 (or 1, 2)
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked"

9. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 r570a.rom
(there is a space between the .exe and -f, and a space between -f and -p and 0)press enter.

Follow directions on screen and if flash is successful exit the command prompt and restart, windows should show up on

nope macos still has no idea what it is. and 2 different windows installation report it as the same card however 2 mhz faster.

what about these? i don't understand exactly what I'm looking at but seems close enough?

Lol i tried those two. They brick the card; I revert back the one you suggested earlier. Card unbricked, works fine under windows… as reported earlier mac os has no idea what it is…. But this is hopeful we can find a compatible rom and make it work under mac os. Please advise.

Turning a RX580 2048SP into a RX570 for MacOS support

Hello! My first post here... Im trying to turn one of those chinese RX580 2048SP 8GB cards into a RX570, to make it run in MacOS. Apparently MacOS does not work with the BIOS shipped in the card (no HW acceleration). The card has 8Gb GDDR5 Micron chips and the main chip is the 215-0910052...
