Couple of days ago I ordered brand new parts for building a new pc(I left my ssd , psu and ram not upgraded only)
Bought Ryzen 5 5600x paired with RX 7700 XT + Kolink observatory case white.
Everything good but right now I spend too much this month and should wait until the next month or two before I can afford proper CPU cooling and while CPU is idle it reach 40 idle with 80-85C when gaming + case closed. I expected from this case to be good (150 BGN which is around 60-70 euro/dollars) while my previous case was only 35 dollars and had way much better air cooling fans.Howsoever I tought these temperature for stock cooling on this CPU are a little bit higher and tried to undervolt the cpu from bios to 1.0025 or smth like that which lowered my temps but I got in mid-game BSOD and returned the settings to default. Then I tried the Curve optimizer to disable and set it to negative -10 which kept my system stable and today I tried -15 negative (tried some stress tests like CPU-Z etc.)(by the way cinebench program crashes when I try to start it but CoreCycler run properly and I closed it on the 15th minute) I am not very aware of how overcloking/undercloking/undervolting stuff works , I am away from that sector and I am pretty much sacred to touch this kind of settings in bios ,I wonder if this is safe for my system. I know that this certain CPU operating temperature can reach 95C degrees since its zen 3 architecture(until now I used ryzen 5 3600 with stock cooling and it was just fine temps) but somewhere I read that this decrease lifespan of the CPU which I don't like to be like that. Should I return default settings or keep it like that until I buy water cooling for my CPU ? By the way the GPU gets very hot because I believe it's more powerfull and the case have bad airflow despite the many fans it have big impact on the CPU temp as well when running games smth like 10-15 degrees up because of the gpu running and have to open the case door for better airflow....(daisy chained fans with power from SATA + mobo don't have comfortable spots for installing 3pin fans and generally this case was a mistake) Should I return my stock settings of the cpu or I can keep it like that ? Are there any risks ? Some people say that ''5600x is not a 'hot chip' '' and to check my manual of the mounting pressure of the cooler.
