I'm sad to report that STALKER 2 will not be arriving any time soon (from the Official STALKER facebook page):

    Regarding the new game:
I always enjoyed the series, never encountered any bugs and found the story line fascinating. The new property doesn't seem like a massive change from the Stalker method bt I guess we'll just have to wait and see..
    xBruce88x and Daimus say thanks.

Been a fan of the series since i saw a preview back in 2003 in a gaming magazine, i still remember the days of may 2007 when i played SoC and now its gone, that is marketing these days. I still hope a publisher will pick up the license and make a Stalker 2 that is not dumbed down, maybe the new generation consoles will provide the hardware.
Got to rely on Lost Alpha if it comes in autumn.

Any time we rely on Consoles to provide leading technology, God kills an endangered species.

Just wish we knew why the guy wouldn't release the IP to the developers...I still think enough Kickstarter cash would have done it :)

Well i think they might have gotten greedy in a way it could be a good thing if EA buys the license but it also might mean the game gets dumbed down, i just hope this is not the end of the Stalker games.
