Two decisions to make,

2x4GB kit, allows upgrade - ability
G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 8GB (2 x ...

or keep my 4x2GB Mushkin DDR3-2000(operating at 1866 -9-9-9-24)

and I can keep only 1 card;

HD 6950, unlocked to a 6970, Over clocks like a champ OC'd so far to 950/1450

or

EVGA GTX 570 arrives Wednesday from Step up.

Things to consider, future proofing with a 2x4GB set, and my wife wouldn't mind getting the Mushkin ram back. By all rights the 6970 is a beast, and I like it alot, However the GTX 570 is also a monster, and I play mostly games that have that annoying, Made for Nvidia crap aka WoW, Metro 2033, and some BC2.

Currently 8GB of RAM is not really necessary and is already future proofed.
I wouldnt waste any money on the RAM.
If you do want new RAM I would go to 2 x 8GB sticks but that would be a waste as you wouldnt prob. make use of it.
Also take a look at these sticks, people are doing very well OCing them:

As for the video card I am a bit biased as I never have had any luck with ATI cards.
Both are beasts though.

I at least hoped I helped on the memory side.
