I found the instructions very clear, within a few mins my 5970 was the beast it was intended to be.

I have the Sapphire HD5970 OC edition with the 120 BIOS and have been experiencing lock up issues.

I had a hard time narrowing it down, replaced power supply, memory, hard drives, and still having the issue.

Then I realized that if I am using my computer over a remote desktop connection, it doesn't lock up (since it's not using the graphics card), however when I am physically at the computer, it locks up after a few minutes.

Could someone please repost the files? The links in the original post are now dead.

I can also mirror the files.

Go to the original site HERE and ask True Gamer in a PM if he could hook you up with the files. I lost all mine while doing so much needed house keeping. Good luck

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I went to the second post in this thread, which gave the Bit Tech forums link I posted above. There, I was able to click on the original vbios files for the Sapphire 5970 OC card here:

http://support.sapphiretech.com/archive/attachment/3109/131_634136893713165000.zip

That allowed me to download the files. The Sapphire link to create a DOS bootable disk:

http://www1.sapphiretech.com/global/lib_files/103.zip

And the latest version (in the post) of ATIFlash:

http://www1.sapphiretech.com/global/lib_files/40.zip

I just tested each one of these and was still able to access them all.
