Wow, finally they've released 4890. Glad I didn't place my order yesterday. If 4870 prices go down, I'm going to build my system!

I hope Newegg carries these soon for the same price, or lower.

Can anybody see a price drop on the 4870s?

Oh man, I'm about ready to BuyitNow. :p
I have a feeling the price is going to go up swiftly.

Anyone know any power draw numbers on this?

Make sure buy it at ewiz at night time. They sometime go crazy with the price at midnight. Last time, I saw them set the price for GTX280 at $200. I couldn't believe it.

    Changed my mind...

I think I'll wait until the next big domination cards come out...

You know like the 4850 walking all over the 3870.
The 4890 just doesn't seem to have it, we will see what the 5k's or maybe 49**s?

Because they re-worked the core. The GTS 250 IS a 9800GTX+, an HD 4890 is a RV790 core. Not RV770 like the 4870.
How many 4870's have you seen that do 850mhz easily or even 1ghz?

Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these. I think I am gonna wait for the HD5xxx series before I upgrade though. My 4830 is still going strong.
