If the F@H core ever gets updated to take advantage of the 5xxx series I will gladly switch :D They seem like strong cards and they are priced well.

yea thats holding back my folding -_- and just think soon the new fermi cards will also be unable to use there full potential since they will have over 320 shaders so they will fall into the same boat as ati just not as hard

I hate to go so far off topic, but I do believe the current core for Nvidia cards via CUDA is not limited to 320 shaders. Im fairly certain that a 512 core GT3xx will be used 100% right out the gate.

I hope other places take the hint that it's time to move back to the launch price of $260. I can't stand paying over MSRP

Yeah, this deal is nice compared to what we've been seeing, but it is still over MSRP. I'll jump on the Evergreen bandwagon when I can get at least a 5850 for under $200. Until then, the 4870 is more than good enough for me, and I won't let myself succumb to imminent 5830.

I'll just wait for the Fermi's to come out so the prices will go down on the 5800 series. These stupid retailers are price gouging like morons and it just pisses me off. AMD should require retailers to stay around the MSRP until they have problems with supply again.
