Hi again, another little bug.
I make a personalized preset for the fan curve, I must to activate one by one all the cards, when I arrive at 4th card and put it in Custom, the 1st card goes to auto.
Three suggest, in cards name add the controler or PCI port to distinguish between them, individual fan curves and public histeresis and delay times.

Thanks

I've tested TriXX v4.01 and v4.02 with CCC v11.6 on my new Sapphire 6850 and while I can change Core Clock and Memory clock I can't change the GPU Voltage without it resetting/locking up the computer.

Is this a known issue? Bug fix in the works?

Running 4.02 with Sapphire Toxic 6850 and win7.

Fan profile keeps resetting to Automatic after every restart.

Tried changing fan profile etc to get it to save but no change.

Not had a version that works with the fan since 3.

Great program though Wiz :toast:

Ooops worse than I thought, not setting OC on restart either.

OC set and saved as 950/1150 1.2mV

after restart settings 600/1150 1.2mV

4.02 is definitely a much more worthy update than the version number suggest. Admire your talent, W1z.

Having an issue with Trixx not saving settings of second/third cards on bootup. Looks like CCC is overwriting. However, the cards need the Power Control settings of CCC.

Minor issues if you want to fix... Trixx reads wrong voltage for non-reference ASUS 6950 DCII 1GB. Issue because voltage set at below stock (0.793v) so locks up system if clocks applied.

Problem may be CCC 11.6 related as can not get any of the vesions to work now, fan profiles working as before, but not OCing to set values, only going to 600 not 950.

11.7 installed now, with V3.0 of trixx, and all working as before.

OCing and fan profiles working. :)

Will wait for next version with fix for fan profile.

There is a checkbox in options in Trixx. Thankfully, as it's a pita Registry edit otherwise...

It was already checked off when I installed the program. Oh well I may as well stick with msi ab and that way I don't need to screw with the registry.

There seems to be a problem with the program's ability to adjust voltage on non-ref 5870 cards. In particular, my Vapor-X 5870 rev-2.

When Trixx first came out I was glad that I had found a program that had unlocked my voltage control, though at the time I didn't really need it, recently I wanted to use it but found out that the gpu voltage slider was not functioning or not responding. I downloaded the latest version which is the current one and it seemed to work the first time I launched the program, but when I re-opened it, the slider was not functioning once again.

Just something I wanted to make the developer aware of.

its possible to run 2 x Radeon 6990 properly with the last sapphire trixx version ?

I'm still looking for a good overclocking tool but MSI After burner limits me to 1,25Volt and ASUS Smart Doc causes extremly frame drops with quad crossfire.

So I hope Sapphire trixx can handle this.

I was just wondering if this is a bug with some of the TriXX fan settings...

I uninstalled the latest afterburner beta after it in continually crashed my pc completely during BC2. I had not overclocked my card and i just used it to set up fan profiles. as the fan never goes above 35% fully loaded

so I uninstalled it and went back to setting the fan manually to 40-45% before i played a game.

Then i went to install the latest beta from TriXX and even though i can set up a custom profile. as soon as i restart the PC, it defaults back to automatic fan profiles and doesnt stay on Custom.

as far as i can remember when i was still using TriXX for my 2 5850s this problem never occured.

I TriXX bugged or is it just the way my cards are??

So is it possible to use Trixx and Power control settings?

and does anyone know at which clock/voltage than setting becomes useful.

Thanks.

use version #3;)

the only version that has worked for me so far is 3.0.5 and even that isn't perfect since it will work in the beginning and then after awhile without restarting the PC or anything, it will just stop overvolting. Then the next day it will work again, or if I reinstall the latest version and then go back to the 3.0.5.

I've tried all of the versions and there isn't a single one that has a constantly working gpu voltage control for the 5870.

One thing i've noticed is that whenever the voltage control works, in GPU-Z there will be an extra sensor present right under VDDC. It's called VDDC Current % OCP. It doesn't show anything but when it's simply present, it means I can overvlolt, when it isn't then I can't.

i've considered it, and I've even bought the resistors in case I decide to do it, but since there is a program that does the same thing, I don't think it's necessary. Even if there are still small issues that prevent it from functioning properly 100% of the time.

i uninstalled the drivers and installed the newest one, but the VDDC Currnet % OCP still doesn't show constantly.
