Sapphire x1600xt bios flash!

I need to flash my Sapphire X1600XT 256MB PCI-E video card with an older BIOS version. The P/N differs on the older version of the BIOS by one number at the end.

My current P/N:

11x-5C8801SA-009

P/N of BIOS I need to flash to:

11x-5C8801SA-009

I have tried ATIWinflash and ATIFLASH in Dos but the BIOS would not flash because of the different P/N's. (I tried the -f flag in ATIFLASH to force the flash but it also did not work)

Is there anyway of changing the card's P/N or forcing the bios flash to go through?

I also tried a modded version of flashrom but it did not detect my video card.

Thanks in advance

Use atiflash v3.10 and use this command:

atiflash -p -f -newbios 0 biosname.rom

that should do it, not sure if you need that -newbios switch thou.

Hey, thanks for the response.

I actually already tried that with no luck. I get the following error message:

ROM Preserved
ROM not erased

Error 0FL01 : Press "1" to continue
