Im getting A Sapphire X1800XT on thursday and would like to know what to look for on the chip set so I know I can flash it to a X1800XT PE , my last card is a X800 GTO and was not able to unlock the other four pipes because of the set up on the chip . Any help would be great . Thank you .

The card I m getting is the X1800XT 512 256. My system I'm running is a AMD 64 X2 3800 , which is oc'ed to 2.5 , I have 4 gigs of XMS 3200 ram and a XFI extreme sound card . I will have the card thursday . I hope this is what you ment about ram .

is it a 512MB card or a 256MB card. Stating it is a 512 256 is not helpful at all.

what settings you have your ram at?(4 gig)(probably 9/10 ?? )

lol yeah there is, the PE normally clocks the card at its "maximun safe" clocks, which are 700 core, 800(1600mhz) memory.

my card is a 512 mb 256 bit and stock in ati tool is 600 700. my 4 gig of ram on my mobo are xms 3200 running a 3-3-3-8. dose this help , I would like to get this thing running at pe speeds wioth out over clocking , I would rather flash the bios . I have done a vid card before a long time agoe a 9500pro to a 9700pro and its still kicking witha zalman heatpipe and zalman fan . thanks everyone .

no, lol all it does is raise the stock voltages, which you can do using ati tool, the max voltage doesn't change. so it really offere no other values than overclocking.

Yes I have downloaded one from the bios center here , but dont know which flashing tool to use . Im not sure if I downloaded the right bios , there was only one for the sapphire X1800XT-PE . Thanks for the feed back . Also Im alittle leary to flash the card , I paid 319.99 for it . So I want to make sure I do it right .
