Let me see if I can find the review, I did some Googling a while ago and I know for a fact that it was either the S-Flexes or the SlipStreams that had crappy pressure.

According to that the SFlex's are not very good. I should try out the gentile typhoon's.

I was going to get some GTyphoon's but they were out of stock EVERYWHERE. Not sure if things are better now as I haven't been checking.

Actually how much do the 1850 rpm ones sell for over there?

the Gently typhoons are amost 60CFM out of the box and get less that 40CFM in that test....thats a 33%ish loss, why are they so good?

On a side note, unless that testrig is built air tight in front of the radiator, his numbers are effectively bogus.

When I was looking for them nobody had the 1450 or 1850 RPM ones in stock, then I gave up and got high speed Yate Loons.

Now they're around $15 but when everywhere was out of stock places like Sidewinder sold them for $21 a pop. :shadedshu For that much money I'd rather buy some Noctuas.

If thats your responce why use the chart as reference at all? They are all tested that way, and the rig I highly doubt is air tight in front of the rad, making the findings time consuming, but still off.

I have updated my list of fans, now i remove the ones that aren't good enough noise/airflow ratio.

By martins test on youtube, I wont be getting any 38mm except sanace (if i find any), and those gentle typhoons have a noise that is a lot easier to the ear

Judging by their (1900rpm) performance compared to my low speed yate loons on my heatsink. I would have to say that they do have pretty crappy static pressure. The slipstreams make for great case fans but their heatsink/rad performance isn't too great.

Anyone got any idea what sort of static pressure the 38 mm thick Silenx Ixtrema fans have?

As they say they have greater static pressure then standard fans, but it doesn't say how much static pressure they have in a unit of measurement D:

After discussing fin pitch and various other differences earlier thought I'd share this, as I thought the difference was quite cool ( first time I've had a normal fan to compare directly)

Silenx vs standard fan.

The difference in the two fans should be pretty obvious, that change make the silenx a 44cfm fan versus 33 of the other fan
