Hmm apparently my Seagate ST2000DM001 is busted. It showing blue screen 0x000000F4 a week ago everytime I play a game from its drive, but after I change it to another SATA slot (The cable's head is a bit thick and tightly squeezing its neighbour cable), it works again for a week.
Today, the bluescreen started to come again and even changing SATA cable or slot won't do the trick. It'll BSOD. I can't even finish HD Tune quick error scan when booted from another HDD as it'll went undetected after few minutes
Well, shit happens, I'll probably order new HDD on monday, but my question is: is there any tricks I can try to save this HDD? or the death is already inevitable?
also, at 2-3TB, which HDD is currently reliable? I want to go back to WD, but at the Seagate price I could only get the far slower green version.
