Hello all,

Loaded up my computer last night and it keeps prompting me to select a boot device. I'm pretty sure the hard-drives knackered but was wondering if I've gone through every possibility before going out and buying a new one.....

So far i've....

- Checked the boot up menu in BIOS. Drive isnt found
- The drive does sound as if its still spinning
- Tried mounting through Linux, no luck. Internal error.
- Checked connections

Any suggestions?

Thanks

check the power and hdd cable. check your hdd when you turn it on if it doesnt spin i guess your hdd is dead, before it did your hdd act strange like goes bsod. noisy, or slowing badly.
or try to plug in that on other pc and see how it works, but it looks your hdd is rip

Tired booting from Hirens, no luck.

Changed the SATA slot, no luck.

I think i'll cut my loss and buy a new one. I can't stand trying to find the new drivers....

If you couldn't boot from a CD, I think you may have other troubles.
