setting up the right refresh rate

    i have attached a picture as i am unsure how to set up my screen for gaming, its a 40" full hd screen but whe gameing i get lines goin down the screen.

    1080p 50hz standard try look for 60hz
    pal also

    get vertical sync on v sync

    that will eliminate lines during games

    thanks, here is a question tho why is my tv 100hz if 50hz i standard?do i just have good tv?

    It just upscales to 100Hz. So say you run at 50Hz, the TV doubles each frame to produce 100hz.

    Also what do you mean by lines.

    Black bars running down the sides of the screen? If so thats cus most PC games are coded for either 4:3 or 16:10 . Your TV will be 16:9
